Arnold Castelain, M.H.-Sc., B. A.

Psychologist, Sinologist

Mr. Castelain is clinical psychologist, sinologist, and lecturer at Paris Cité University in intercultural studies in applied languages. He studied at the Université Paris Diderot and at Peking University. He draws his professional experience from the treatment of young people with migration background and from psychotherapy in inpatient acute psychiatry for adults. He currently works in the field of child protection in a parent and family counseling center for the Youth Welfare Office in Berlin and in private practice.

philosophy

To each his own story

We work as close as possible to the person’s concerns and needs and accompany emotionally. We work with the tools that the person’s problem requires, adapting each intervention to the situation at hand. We work concretely and individually. The most valuable thing is the human, emotional encounter with the person who comes with a request for assistance. We work on understanding blockages and unconscious sides of behavior, while trying to activate personal resources and strengths. Each person is completely unique. Each person finds the solutions that are most suitable for him or her. It is a great priviledge to get to know as a psychologist every person coming to talk.
